U.S. Half Dollar Coins for Sale

Minting of U.S. half dollar coins began in 1794, and the coin has undergone several design changes since that time. The coin has featured obverses of Benjamin Franklin, Flowing Hair, Draped Busts, a Seated Statue of Liberty, John F. Kennedy and others. The reverse has included such imagery as the Independence Hall in Philadelphia, although it currently features a heraldic bald eagle holding an olive branch and 13 arrows surrounded by 50 stars. At Liberty Coin you’ll find a collection of rare, commemorative and annual silver half dollars to add to your collection. Although the half dollar has only been minted for collectors since 2002 as its use in transactions has faded over time, they may still be used as legal tender.
